Pa. man to stand trial in stun rape of real estate agent
SAEGERTOWN, Pa. (AP) — A western Pennsylvania man has been ordered to stand trial on charges he raped a real estate agent who was showing him a home for sale, after first incapacitating her with a stun gun.
Michael Ray Tackett, 39, of West Pittsburg, was ordered to stand trial after a preliminary hearing Monday. He has pleaded not guilty to the 2007 incident in Crawford County, as well as a nearly identical attack on another real estate agent in Mercer County in 2009.
Tackett is in the Crawford County Jail, unable to post $500,000 bond.
He was arrested in May after a five-hour standoff with state police at his home.
Police say the victim in the 2007 attack identified Tackett from a photo lineup after learning of his arrest in the 2009 incident.
