A Linden Avenue home was destroyed by fire Saturday night.
Firefighters arrived at 186 Linden Ave. about 10 p.m. The fire started on the first floor in the rear of the home, firefighters said.
One firefighter was injured, but no other injuries were reported.
The fire also damaged homes at 176 and 195 Linden Ave. The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
Latino outreach

To address the needs of the ever-increasing Hispanic community, the Mahoning County Child Support Enforcement Agency is offering a Latino Outreach Program.
The program will explain agency services, which include paternity establishment, locating absent parents, support establishment and enforcing court orders.
There will be two sessions — 9 a.m. to noon Aug. 17 and 1 to 4 p.m. Aug. 19 — at Organizacion Civica y Cultural Hispana Americana, 3660 Shirley Road.
English-Spanish translators will be available.

Protest discussion
YOUNGSTOWN
Steve Oravecz will be moderator when Universal Cafe has a panel discussion called “Political Protest from Kent State to the Tea Party” at 7 p.m. next Monday. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
The cafe is in First Unitarian Universalist Church, 1105 Elm St., just north of Youngstown State University.
The panel will include civil-rights and peace activist Atty. Staughton Lynd and a representative from the tea-party movement.
A $3 donation is suggested.
