Fitch class of 1960 plans 3-day reunion and a cruise

Austintown Fitch Class of 1960 plans a three-day weekend and a Caribbean cruise to celebrate its 50th reunion.

Co-chairmen Lynn Stambaugh and Ron Smolek led committee members, who have finished planning the get-together, scheduled for Aug. 20, 21 and 22. The cost is determined by the events attended. The plan follows:

Aug. 20, cocktail social: A cash bar will open at 7 p.m. at the Holiday Inn in Boardman. Hors d’oeuvres will be provided. The charge is $5 per person. Call Joe Connors at 330-792-7839 for more information.

Aug. 21, golf event: Mill Creek Park Golf Course is where participants will meet at 9 a.m. for a mixed scramble. The cost for each golfer is $30, which includes 18 holes and a cart. Call Dave Cole at 330-792-2044 for more information.

Aug. 21, ladies luncheon: will begin at noon at the Fifth Season Restaurant on Mahoning Avenue. Participants will order from the menu, and it will be Dutch treat. Call Evelyn (Ripple) Berndt at 330-544-0517 for more information.

Aug. 21, sit-down dinner: at the Holiday Inn in Boardman. The cost will be $25 per person with an open bar. A social hour is scheduled from 5-6 p.m.; a class picture at 6, and sit-down dinner at 6:45. Dancing will be from 8 to midnight. Call Stambaugh at 330-758-3986 for more information.
