Deadline extended for debutantes

YOUNGSTOWN

Junior Civic League is seeking young ladies as debutantes for its 55th annual Cinderella Ball on Nov. 26 at Mr. Anthony’s Banquet Center in Boardman.

Applications will be accepted until Sept. 1 from young women who must be 2010-2011 high school seniors with a grade point average of at least 2.0, and must have no children.

The debutante crowned Miss Cinderella at the event will receive a cash prize of $400 or a $2,500 scholarship to an accredited college.

“To Dream the Impossible Dream” is the theme for the event, the group’s largest fundraiser for scholarships.
