Seniors rule Boardman Park
Who says senior citizens can’t have fun?
A total of 77 seniors flocked to Boardman Park’s Lariccia Family Community Center April 15 for Senior Fun Day.
The day began with an exercise class followed by an arts and crafts activity and bingo at noon. Special speakers included representatives from the American Cancer Society and the Boardman Sheriff’s Department.
The event was sponsored by Poland’s Sunrise Assisted Living and Senior Independence. Free blood pressure screenings were provided by Senior Independence wellness nurses.
Each month features different activities and is sponsored by different organizations.
Senior Fun Day is held every third and fourth Thursday of the month from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with an admittance fee of $1.
Reservations for the event is required. For information or to RSVP, call 330-965-0482.
