No work and all play at YMCA

Several local businesses joined in on the Davis Family YMCA’s sixth annual Healthy Kids Day event April 17 to help encourage families to stay healthy, have fun together, and collect important information on keeping their children safe.

The day gave kids and families the opportunity to “Put Play in Their Day” with free, fun, engaging and creative activities. The day showed simple ways to put more play in kids’ days and to get families to live a healthier life.

Camp Fitch brought kayaks to test out in the pool area and their archery equipment to try outside. Bounce-a-Round was a hit with the kids in the gym area and hundreds of children along with their parents swept through the food court area to speak with the vendors.

Local health care providers along with local businesses were in attendance providing information, giveaways, healthy snacks and more.
