Falcon Forward donates to locker room project

The Falcon Forward Committee of Austintown has made a $1,500 donation to the Fitch High School girls’ locker room renovation project.

Taking part in a recent presentation ceremony at the Fitch High School fieldhouse were Tom Mock, Falcon Forward president, Lorraine Krueger, Fitch guidance counselor, Ray Holmes, Falcon Forward treasurer, Lisa Oles, Falcon Forward vice president, June Logan, locker room project coordinator, Peggy Bennett, Family and Consumer Science department chair, and Doug McGlynn, Fitch High School principal.

The girl’s locker room renovation project started two years ago and is now close to completion. Tax deductible donations are being accepted to finish the final phase. Contributions can be sent to Girls’ Locker Room Project, Austintown Local Schools, 700 S. Raccoon Road, Austintown, OH 44515.

The Falcon Forward Committee is a private fundraising arm that supports Austintown school activities and athletic programs. The committee has raised approximately $400,000 since its inception three years ago.
