Families went head-to-head as they battled each other at McKinley Elementary’s Family Game Night April 23.

Each family was assigned a table where they play each other in a game of their choice. Games included Sorry, Uno, Yahtzee, Clue and several more.

Raffle tickets were awarded based on the winners of the games. First place received five tickets, second received three and third was given one. The tickets were then used for prizes through a 50/50 drawing that took place at the end of the night.

A display case organized by Poland artist Tom Antonishak was dedicated at the end on the night. It features photos of historical Poland and the Western Reserve. When fully completed, it will encompass more than 250 poker chips containing the fingerprints of each student that is currently attending McKinley.

This was the first year McKinley hosted a Family Game Night, but according to Principal Edward Kempers, it won’t be the last.

“We had a pretty good turnout tonight and this is a nice way for families to get together for a night of fun,” he said. “I think we will do it again next year.”
