Wolves Club Den VI to award scholarships to seven seniors

YOUNGSTOWN

The Wolves Club, Den VI, has selected seven local high school seniors to be recipients of scholarship grants to Youngstown State University for 2010.

During the Wolves Club Annual Scholarship Banquet at 6 p.m. May 12 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Hall a four-year scholarship will be presented to each recipient. Receiving the awards will be the following students:

Ryan Candella of Boardman

Chris Kalbfell of Western Reserve

Jeffrey Leonard of Cardinal Mooney

Sean Lynch of South Range

Mike McKinney of Boardman

Jay Musial of Springfield

Abbie Ziegler of Poland

The Wolves Club will also award $1,500 scholarships to two local students who will attend St. Elizabeth School of Nursing this year.

The scholarships were made possible with proceeds from fundraising events sponsored by the Wolves Club, which were matched by the YSU Foundation. The combination resulted in the awarding of $40,000 in scholarships this year.
