West Side man dies in motorcycle accident

YOUNGSTOWN — Police have identified the man killed in an early morning motorcycle accident as 23-year-old Larry McDonald of Elberen Street on the city's West Side.

According to police, McDonald was riding a Honda dirt bike northbound on Belle Vista Avenue near Concord Avenue between 3:30 a.m. and 3:40 a.m. today when he lost control of the motorcycle and hit a curb. A passing motorist saw the motorcycle and called police.

A Mahoning County coroner's report said McDonald, who was not wearing a helment, died of a blunt force head injury. An autopsy will be done.
