WEDNESDAY

Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will sponsor a baked chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the church. The menu will include salad, mashed potatoes and gravy, bread and butter, pie and beverage. Cost is $6.50, and containers will be provided for takeout orders. No reservations are necessary. FRIDAY

Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at (330) 755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Orders may be picked up from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at (330) 792-1005.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $5 a dozen. Orders should be placed from 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 9:30 to 11 a.m. Friday at (330) 746-9528 and are to be picked up between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday. Advance sales only. Lunches will be available beginning at 11 a.m. Friday.

St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will sell potato and cheese pirogi. To order call (330) 799-0084 after 6 p.m. Thursday or after 8 a.m. Friday. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Cost is $5 per bag of one dozen (no containers necessary). Walk-ins are welcome. Patrons are asked to use the side entrance.

St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi. Cost is $4.50 a dozen. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at (330) 755-1316, and orders can be picked up beginning at noon. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers. No walk-in orders will be available.

St. Luke Church, 5235 South Ave., Boardman, will bake Italian-style red and white pizza. Phone orders will be accepted at (330) 788-0025 between 9-11:30 a.m. only. Pickup will be until 12:30 p.m. Price is $6 for regular or Brier Hill pizza and $5 for white pizza.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, Main Street, New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi. Orders can be called to (330) 542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. The cost is $5 a dozen. Advance orders will be taken at (330) 747-3024 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 8 to 11 Friday, based upon availability. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers and use the side entrance. Hot lunches will be available.

SATURDAY

New Hope United Methodist Church, 21 Fairview Ave., Niles, will have a roast beef and salad bar dinner from 4 to 6:30 p.m. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children; those under 5 are free.

Shepherd of the Valley Church, 2717 Valley View Road, Sharpsville, Pa., will have a western-style pork rib dinner as a benefit for Women’s Ministries. Meals of pork ribs, macaroni and cheese, baked beans, applesauce, dessert and beverages will be served from 4 to 7 p.m. The donation is $7 for adults and $4 for children 6-10. Those 5 and under are free.

Vienna United Methodist Church, 4265 Warren-Sharon Road, will have a Swiss steak dinner from 4 to 6:30 p.m. The cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children 5 to 12 and free for those 4 and under. The menu will include mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, coleslaw, applesauce, bread and butter, beverage and homemade dessert. Takeouts will be available.

SUNDAY

Struthers United Methodist Church, 33 Sexton St., Struthers, will have a creamed chicken over biscuit dinner with all the trimmings from noon to 2 p.m. The cost is $7 for adults and $3.50 for children. Carryouts will be available.

VFW Triangle Post 2799 Auxiliary, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will serve breakfasts of eggs, sausage or ham, hash browns, pancakes, freedom toast and coffee or tea from 8 a.m. to noon. Meals are $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12.

Vincent United Methodist Church, Walnut Street, Jackson Center, Pa., has planned a buffet dinner to begin at 2 p.m. There will be a variety of meats, potatoes, vegetable, applesauce, desserts and beverages. The cost is $10 for adults and $4 for children under 12.

TUESDAY

First United Methodist Church of Hubbard, 48 Church St., will sell takeout dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. at the church. The donation is $6 for meals of chicken and biscuits, mashed potatoes, green beans and dessert.

Mahoning United Methodist Church, 2214 Mahoning Ave., will sell stuffed cabbage rolls from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (or until sold out) for $1.50 each. To place an order call (330) 799-5318 between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Monday through Friday. Walk-ins welcome; advance orders are appreciated.

TAKING ORDERS

American Hungarian Club, 2219 Donald Ave., Youngstown, is taking orders for carryout stuffed cabbage. The cost is $12 a dozen. Orders will be accepted until May 6 at (330) 792-5124 or (330) 799-7008. Pickup will be from 1 to 3 p.m. May 15 at the club. Patrons my provide containers for takeouts and save a $1.25 container charge.

Lydia Circle of Girard United Methodist Church is taking orders through Monday for individual-size ham loaves to be picked up from 1 to 4 p.m. May 10. The cost is $2 each. To place an order call (330) 545-4361.

UPCOMING

St. John Lutheran Church, 1429 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown, adjacent to Fellows Riverside Gardens in Mill Creek Park, will serve a Mother’s Day dinner at 11:45 a.m. May 9. Available on the all-you-can-eat buffet will be roast beef, turkey with stuffing, vegetables, desserts and beverages. Cost is $13.95 for adults and $6.50 for children. St. Michael Orthdox Church, 125 Steel St., Youngstown, will serve a homemade authentic Chinese dinner from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Thursday beginning May 6. A different meal will be featured each week; the first week will be pork and onions with brown sauce. Cost is $5.

Southington United Methodist Church, state Route 305 and 534, Southington, will have a chicken dinner from 3:30 to 6 pm. May 5. The menu includes scalloped potatoes, green beans applesauce, coleslaw and homemade desserts. Meals are $7.50 for adults. Meals for children 4 to 10 with chicken tenders are $4 and free for those 3 and under. Call the church at (330) 898-2156 and carryouts will be ready for pickup.
