Banners celebrating growing relationship between city and YSU to be unveiled Tuesday

YOUNGSTOWN — Street banners celebrating the growing and evolving connections between the city and Youngstown State University will be unveiled at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the corner of Wick Avenue and Federal Street.

The banners identify Youngstown as “A Great University Town” and YSU as “A Great University in Town.” They’ve been installed along Market Street bridge, various intersections around downtown and on Wick Avenue. They also celebrate Youngstown as “A Top 10 City for New Business” as identified by Entrepreneur Magazine.

Mayor Jay Williams and YSU President David Sweet will speak.
