Everyone will be a winner at Kentucky Derby Party

YOUNGSTOWN

The Junior League of Youngstown is inviting the public to a Kentucky Derby party where it is a sure bet that they will have an enjoyable time.

The party will begin at 5 p.m. May 1 at The Youngstown Club in the Commerce Building, 201 Commerce St.

At 6 p.m. guests will have the opportunity to watch the Kentucky Derby on big-screen televisions and root for their favorite horse.

Planned as the organization’s annual fundraiser, the evening also will feature Derby-style cuisine and a hat contest to be judged by area celebrities. There will be a $10 fee to enter the hat contest.

Those attending also will have a chance to win great gifts during a basket raffle and Chinese auction.

Tickets for the event are $30 for an individual and $50 and $100 for patrons. Proceeds will benefit the community work in the Mahoning Valley by the Junior League which is celebrating 80 years of service .
