Clark headed to Redskins

Penn State QB Daryll Clark has agreed to a free agent deal with the Washington Redskins, according to multiple reports.

Clark's father told The Vindicator earlier today that the Redskins were the front-runner.

Clark, an Ursuline High graduate who was not chosen in this week's NFL draft, set single-season records for passing yards and TDs for the Nittany Lions.

Several outlets reported Saturday that Clark would sign with the Steelers but Clark's father said his son "has no idea where that came from."

"They may have talked to his agent at some point but they haven't talked to my son," he said.

Clark did not return calls seeking comment.

Notre Dame safety Kyle McCarthy (Mooney) and Boston College safety Marcellus Bowman (Liberty) both agreed to free agent deals with the Denver Broncos this weekend, while YSU wide receiver Donald Jones signed with the Buffalo Bills.
