No area players drafted

For the first time since 2004, no area players were selected in the NFL draft.

Cardinal Mooney High graduate Kyle McCarthy, a safety at Notre Dame, and Ursuline graduate Daryll Clark, a Penn State quarterback, were both invited to the NFL's February draft combine, as was YSU receiver Donald Jones.

All three should sign a free agent deal this weekend.
