GET BARGAINS

Poland Junior Women’s Club will sponsor a trash and treasure sale from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. today in the parking lot at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 2985 Center Road, Poland.

Sale items will be displayed in the picnic pavilion. Featured will be children’s clothing and toys, small working appliances, books, luggage, jewelry, tools and a variety of miscellaneous items.

Love a parade

Warriors Inc. will have its sixth annual Unity in the Community Parade starting at 10 a.m. today.

The parade will begin at Midlothian Boulevard and Market Street and will end at the Hope Building, 2733 Market St. in the Uptown.

A minority-health family day will take place after the parade, in the Mahoning County South Side Annex building parking lot. Information about health care will be available. There also will be live entertainment, dancing, a bounce- around, crafts, refreshments and more.

Get food, help

The Big Reach Center of Hope, a ministry of Greenford Christian Church, will host the fourth annual Feed the Need from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. today in the Covelli Centre parking lot.

Feed the Need is an annual event at which individuals and families receive food, personal-care items, sack lunches and Bibles. Those attending are asked to bring a box or container for the items received. The event is open to anyone in need.

Feed the Need has assisted more than 2,000 Mahoning Valley residents.

BANQUET DEADLINE

Ten people will be inducted into the Warren High Schools’ Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame on May 1, bringing the total to 165.

The 17th annual awards dinner will be at 5:30 p.m. at Enzo’s Restaurant in Warren.
