PennDOT worker dies in road grader accident

PULASKI, Pa. (AP) — A PennDOT worker is dead after investigators say he fell off a piece of equipment and was run over while working on a road in western Pennsylvania.

Pulaski Township police say the 42-year-old man slipped off a road grader and fell underneath the tires Thursday at a job site just east of the Ohio border northwest of Pittsburgh. The worker’s name is being withheld pending notification of his family.

PennDOT spokesman Jim Struzzi says the man was a temporary employee who started work in November.

Police and PennDOT are investigating the man’s death.
