Pa. road-rage shootings

COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. (AP) — Police are searching for a man charged in a pair of road-rage shootings in suburban Philadelphia after he failed to show up for a court appearance.

Authorities say 50-year-old John Yannarell shot a fellow motorist in the side earlier this month and failed to appear for at a hearing on those charges today, the same day authorities charged him in a similar incident.

Yannarell didn’t show up for the hearing after his attorney told him a day earlier that authorities planned to charge him in two other road-rage cases. Investigators say Yannarell shot at another motorist in January and threw a bottle at a moving car in September.

Defense attorney Saul Solomon says his client was distraught over the latest charges when they spoke Wednesday.

Authorities say Yannarell should be considered armed and dangerous.
