Italian Heritage Foundation elects officers, plans festival

YOUNGSTOWN

The board of trustees of the Youngstown Italian Heritage Foundation met recently to elect officers and make plans for the 2010 Greater Youngstown Italian Festival.

Named to serve on the board were Linda Ilich, president; Joe Lenefonte, vice president; Arlene DeChellis, treasurer; and Rose Vernucci, secretary.

Appointed as officers for the festival were John Rossetti Jr., chairman; Anna D’Amato, treasurer; and DeChellis, secretary.

The 25th anniversary of the festival is scheduled for July 30, 31 and Aug. 1 in downtown Youngstown.

Applications are being accepted for the Italian Man and Woman of the Year, and for scholarships available to students attending Youngstown State University.
