Cab driver charged with waving gun at police


SCRANTON, Pa. (AP) — A cab driver is facing charges after police say he waved a gun at a car full of undercover police officers.

Police in Scranton say 31-year-old John Harrington was driving fast and closely following the unmarked car at it returned to police headquarters on Wednesday evening.

Authorities say the plainclothes officers repeatedly warned Harrington to slow down and he flashed a handgun at them as he passed their car. Harrington was arrested a short time later.

Harrington is facing charges including reckless endangerment, simple assault and making terroristic threats.
