Car flees traffic stop, hits deaf school van

WILKINSBURG, Pa. (AP) — Police near Pittsburgh are looking for a man they say was in a car that fled a traffic stop and struck a van carrying students from the Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf.

Two students had to be taken to a hospital after the Tuesday afternoon crash.

Two men and a juvenile who were in the fleeing car face charges. Police are also looking for a man they say jumped from the car just before the crash and pointed a gun at an officer. Wilkinsburg police say the officer ducked for cover then lost sight of 19-year-old Raymarr Young as he fled on foot.

Police say two female students, ages 6 and 16, were taken to Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh as a precaution.
