Ohio man arrested in foreclosure stalking case

COLUMBUS (AP) — Authorities say an Ohio man accused of stalking a couple before they moved out of his former, foreclosed home has bothered them again, at their new house.

Sheriff’s deputies say Andrew Zukowski was arrested after violating a protection order last weekend by putting literature about his current run for Congress in the family’s mailbox outside Columbus. The 64-year-old Zukowski is making a Republican primary bid against five-term central Ohio Rep. Pat Tiberi.

Zukowski has pleaded not guilty. He remained jailed today on $50,000 bond.

John and Jamie Petree say Zukowski tried to frighten them away after they bought the Columbus-area home he lost to foreclosure in 2000. They left in 2008 after a menacing by stalking charge against Zukowski was dismissed on appeal.
