More than a penny drop in NEO gas prices

The average price for a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline dropped 1.5 cents in northeast Ohio to $2.817 this week. The national average retail price held steady at $2.859.

According to AAA’s Fuel Gauge, oil prices fell for a third straight day as Monday prices pulled back from 18 month highs on major market news and lingering concerns over the pace of the global economic recovery.

Prices closed at $81.45 per barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
