Youth theater to present ‘Cinderella’

The Youngstown Playhouse Youth Theatre will present “Cinderella” at 7 p.m. April 30 and 2:30 p.m. May 1. The Saturday matinee will be followed by a complimentary autograph party with the cast and crew. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for children. Reservations are recommended; call (330) 788-8739.

Patricia M. Fagan is the director. Set and lighting designs are by James Lybarger, assisted by John Pecano. Robert Joki is the costumer. Matt Stevens serves as stage manager, assisted by Nicholas Berent. The cast includes Lindsay Stevens, Christoffer Carter, Carla Napoli, Gabriella Napoli, Claire Killian, Barbara Knight Berent and Nick Narkum.

Oak Ridge Boys to kick off series

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa.

Westminster College’s Celebrity Series for 2010-11 is as follows: Sept. 18, The Oak Ridge Boys; Oct. 16, Amy Grant; Nov. 30, Jim Brickman; March 23, 2011, Broadway star Franc D’Ambrosio; April 15, 1964 The Tribute to the Beatles. A special children’s show, “Strega Nona, the Musical,” is slated for Oct. 19. It is not part of the season subscription.

Female ‘Odd Couple’ at Salem theater

“The Odd Couple — the Female Version” will open Friday at Salem Community Theatre, 490 E. State St. The comedy is a female take on Neil Simon’s contemporary comedy. The show will run weekends through May 2. Curtain times are 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 2 p.m. Sundays. Call (330) 332-9688.
