Campbell police, Mahoning coroner investigating baby's death

CAMPBELL — Police are investigating the death of a 6-week old baby boy.

The baby was found not breathing on a couch at 9:36 a.m. Friday at an apartment on Jean Street, a police report says.

When police arrived, the baby was still warm. A police officer tried to resuscitate him, but could not, the report says.

An ambulance took the infant to St. Elizabeth Health Center.

The Mahoning County Coroner’s office also is investigating.
