Award to be presented at CHS alumni banquet
CAMPBELL
Campbell Memorial High School Alumni Association will have its fourth annual spring banquet Saturday at Archangel Michael Community Center, 401 12th St.
The event will begin with a social at 4:30 p.m. followed by the dinner at 6. Tickets are $40 and can be purchased by calling the alumni office at the school, (330) 799-1232, or the school secretary at (330) 799-1515.
During the evening there will be a tribute to the late John Kovach, the founder and president of the association.
A highlight of the event will be the presentation of the organization’s first Distinguished Alumnus Award. Nominees for the award are Peter Alexoff, Jaci Clement, Dr. John Galida, Florence Galida, Josephine Galletta, Marilyn Geewax, Dr. Edward Keshock, Dr. John Keshock, Kovach, Mary Lou Macala, Elaine Moskosky, the Rev. Edward Neroda, Nick Opencar, Judy Patellis, Atty. Paul Perantinides, Dr. Robert Ricchiuti, Sister Bernarda (Martha) Sevachko, Betty Simchick, Michael Stanko, Edward Straub, John Straub, Ronald Tofil, the Jack Wasko Family, and Dr. David Yeropoli.
Each nominee will receive a certificate of recognition and the winner will be asked to speak about growing up and attending high school in Campbell.
