Speaking of controversial bills ...

How well I remember The controversy involving the G.I. Bill of Rights during the Second World War.

It passed and provided many, many young veterans with an education they otherwise could not have afforded.

I’m sure we all know some professionals who wouldn’t have been able to get a college education without the G.I. Bill who are now leading citizens.
