Born: April 11, 1910, in Dongo, Italy.

Residence: Lives in his own home in Salem.

Background: Immigrated to the United States through Ellis Island when he was 3 years old and eventually settled in Ohio.

Married: Pauline Nutial in 1939. She died in a car accident in 1968.

Children: Joan Utt of Guilford Lake, Terry Denton of Salem, Bob Domencetti of Salem, Lois Dorazio of Leavittsburg and Debby Domencetti of Indianapolis.

Extended family: 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Employment: Worked at Mullins/American Standard for 46 years and retired as a foreman in 1974.

Memberships: He is a member of Salem Senior Citizens, Salem Retirees Club, Willow Grove Grange and the Poky Dot Band, and is a frequent entertainer at local nursing homes.

Activities: Visits nursing homes, dances with fellow senior citizens, tends his garden and chops wood.

Longevity: Credits long life to good genes, plenty of exercise and a balanced diet. His secret to longevity is simple. He says, “Don’t die!”

Celebration: Family and friends will host a cake reception in his honor during an open house from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday at the Salem Saxon Club. In lieu of gifts, the donation of nonperishable food items to the community food pantry at 794 E. Third St., Salem, will be appreciated.
