UPS worker charged in Ohio theft of sent jewelry

MEDINA, Ohio (AP) — A UPS employee in Ohio has been charged in the theft of jewelry shipments worth nearly $300,000.

A grand jury in northeast Ohio’s Medina County indicted 25-year-old Corey Zoss of Sterling on a felony theft count. He was arrested March 24 by Wadsworth police in an after-hours break-in at his UPS Inc. job site.

Police say the jewelry was taken during previous break-ins. A jeweler expecting shipments had reported that some were missing.

Zoss, who is free on a $50,000 bond, could not be reached for comment today.
