City to pick up your brush piles

Here’s your chance to get rid of all those fallen tree limbs in your yard.

The City of Canfield is organizing the 2010 Brush Pickup Program. Residents may place brush at the curb for pickup by the city’s contractor, Buckeye Landscaping. Brush will be picked according to the following schedule:

• Week of Apr. 26, Northeast quadrant

• Week of May 3, Southeast quadrant

• Week of May 10, Southwest quadrant

• Week of May 17, Northwest quadrant

Residents should have brush at the street Sunday evening for pickup starting Monday morning. Brush should be cut in lengths not to exceed 10 feet and the diameter of branches shall not exceed 3 inches. No roots of any type will be accepted.

This is not a continuing program. Once the contractor passes the homes, they will not be back.
