Cancer survivors to be honored at Relay

This year, the American Cancer Society will honor survivors of cancer at every Relay For Life throughout the Valley and across the nation.

They collectively represent the successes and hard work of people who have a vested interest in finding a cure for cancer by participating at a relay event.

At the Austintown’s Relay For Life, survivors will lead all teams in the first lap around the track June 4. Later, they will be honored with a survivor dinner.

It will be easy to identify a cancer survivor, just look for those in the purple T-shirts. They will be the young, the old, and the middle-aged. Among them will be men, women, boys and girls.
