Liberty cops charge man with drug trafficking

LIBERTY — Christian J. Richardson, 19, of the 900 block of Front Street, Warren, is charged with trafficking in drugs and possession of dangerous drugs.

Police stopped the vehicle in which he was a passenger at about 8:15 p.m. Tuesday on Colonial Drive. Police spotted the vehicle on Belmont Avenue with improperly displayed temporary tags and followed it.

The vehicle made an abrupt turn east on Colonial, nearly causing an accident with an oncoming vehicle.

Police asked to search the individuals in the car and got permission. Richardson had 30 Vicodin pills in a bag and 34 Viocodin in another wrapper. He will appear in Girard Municipal Court for a hearing Tuesday.
