Mahoning treasurer's office closed every other week on Fridays

YOUNGSTOWN — Mahoning County Treasurer Lisa Antonini has announced that the treasurer’s office will be closed for public business every other Friday beginning this Friday.

Antonini reports that closing the office one day bi-weekly is a direct result of the reduction of the treasurer’s office 2010 general fund budget allocation.

Although the overall staffing of the office has been reduced through attrition over the last 10 years, the general fund reduction has tremendously strained the office’s financial resources, Antonini said.
