The following were chosen in a drawing of 100 names to exhibit their artwork at Trumbull Art Gallery, 196 E. Market St.: Ruth Churchill of Warren, Kathleen Medd and Nancy McLean of Cortland, Virginia Rhinerson of Brookfield and John Adams of Southington. Their artwork will be exhibited Wednesday through April 30.

WYSU pledge drive

Listener-supported WYSU-88.5 FM, Youngstown State University’s public-radio service, will have its spring pledge drive Friday through April 23, with a record goal of $106,000. Everyone who pledges support to WYSU (either as a new member, a renewing member, or with an additional gift) during the drive will be entered into a drawing to win a pair of tickets for an 11-day tour of Ireland.

YSU bands in concert

The Youngstown State University Symphonic Band, led by Donald P. Linn, and the YSU Concert Band, conducted by Stephen L. Gage, will present their final concert of the semester at 8 p.m. Monday in Powers Auditorium, 260 W. Federal St. Tickets are $5 ($4 for seniors and students) and will be available at the door.

Change at JCC event

The Munoz-Ilusorio Duo concert has dropped its scheduled performance at the April 22 A Taste of the Arts event at the Jewish Community Center. In its place, Aurista, a New York ensemble directed by Youngstown State University alumnus Thomas Osuga, will perform. The group will play mostly Jewish music as well as arrangements by Gershwin. Elton John tickets

The Hope Foundation of the Mahoning Valley will give away two pairs of tickets to the May 1 Elton John concert at Covelli Centre. Dinner is part of the package. The winning raffle ticket will be chosen April 29 during a fund-raising event at Cassese’s MVR, 410 N. Walnut St. Local celebrities and community leaders will serve as bartenders, with tips going to the Hope Foundation for chronically/terminally ill children.
