It takes a village to rebuild a forge

The employees, family and friends of Wendell August Forge appreciate the incredible encouragement and support we were given following the fire that destroyed our headquarters, gift shop and workshop in Grove City one month ago.

It is humbling to have experienced the outpouring of generosity, from the people who burrowed through the ashes to recover irreplaceable dies, to the donations of food and lodging, to new office supplies, and much, much more. Through the extreme generosity of Anne and Dave Dayton at Slovak Folk Crafts on Rt. 208 in Grove City, we have achieved a huge milestone and are thrilled to announce the opening of our new temporary gift shop adjacent to their space.

To everyone who pulled together in our time of need through your contributions of time, supplies, and prayers, we are eternally grateful and deeply touched. You have shown us what the “American spirit” is truly about. We “forge on,” buoyed by this community.
