GARDEN CLUBS | This week's meetings announced


MONDAY

Garden Forum members are reminded the GCO 82nd convention is Monday through Wednesday in Cincinnati.

Hitchcock Woods will meet at Inglis Greenhouse on Pine Lake Road for a “Plant and Leave It” program. Patty Bryson will be hostess, and Jane J. Evans is program coordinator.

TUESDAY

New Bedford will meet with Esther Williams as hostess. Roll call will feature Dr. Ron Ruscitti.

WEDNESDAY

Moccasin will meet for a “Bees and Bee Sting Therapy” program by Lloyd Alexander. Co-hostesses will be Dahlia Pagano and Jeanette Callard. Donations of toilet tissue or canned foods will be collected for the Emmanuel Center.

THURSDAY

Coitsville will meet at Fellows Riverside Gardens.

Johnny Appleseed will have a “Plant and Leave It” program at 6:30 p.m. at Lutz Greenhouse, 7879 W. Pine Lake Road, Greenford. Hostesses will be Jeanne Filmer and Vera Gabrick, and the door prize will be in charge of Thea Brown.

SATURDAY

Sunflower will have a program on repotting and care of houseplants. Hostess will be Mrs. Dorothy Henry.

SATURDAY AND SUNDAY

Garden Forum will have its flower show at the Davis Center in Fellows Riverside Gardens at Mill Creek Park. Entry time will be from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Public viewing will be available from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Sweetbriar will attend the Garden Forum flower show at the Davis Center in Fellows Riverside Gardens.

Garden club events are published Sunday. The deadline is noon Thursday.
