Carrie Playforth and Christopher Ratliff, both of 56 Edwards Ave., were married Nov. 7 in St. Michael Church. The Rev. Terry Hazel officiated at the 1:30 p.m. ceremony.

After a reception at St. Mary’s Assumption Social Center in Youngstown, the couple left for a honeymoon on the Hawaiian island of Maui.

The daughter of Cyndee Playforth and William Playforth Jr., both of Boardman, and son of James and Celeste Ratliff, 3402 Swallow Hollow, Poland, live in Canfield.

The bride’s strapless gown featured a corset back.

Black gowns with platinum sashes were worn by the honor attendant, Julie McCully, and bridesmaids Amy Shirey, Jessica Mansfield, Stephanie Jarvis, Jolin Jackson and Katie Carnie. Flower girl was Taylor McCully.

David Ratliff performed the duties of best man, and serving as groomsmen were Ian Shirey, Garee McCully, Jeff Naumoff, Jason Stroh and Brad Simon. Ring bearer was Bryce Radowick and usher was J.T. Nenadich.

Mrs. Ratliff graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in communications. She is an agent with Derek Knepper State Farm Insurance in Howland.

Mr. Ratliff attended YSU and is employed at Superior Beverage Group warehouse in Austintown.
