Fifth-grade students from St. Charles School were recognized during a prayer service for their involvement in a stewardship project.

In September, the students, under the direction of their religion teacher, Loretta Peduzzi, chose to put their time and talent toward the nonprofit organization Touched by Nathan Foundation.

The organization helps babies who are born with fragile conditions that are life threatening. The foundation offers education, help and comfort to inspire hope in an understanding and compassionate way.

The students helped assemble comfort baskets and made prayer cards for the foundation. They were then given to families in the community whose babies have long hospital stays.
