Poll: Toomey leads Specter in Senate race

HARRISBURG

A new poll shows Republican Pat Toomey leading Democratic incumbent Sen. Arlen Specter in a hypothetical matchup in Pennsylvania’s fall general election for U.S. Senate.

The Quinnipiac University poll released Thursday is a reversal from polling a month ago that showed Specter ahead. he survey says Toomey leads Specter, 46 to 41 percent.
