“Get ready, get set, go!” was the command given to Dobbins Elementary kindergartners as they rushed toward their egg-filled playground Apr. 1.

Eliane Fabrizi and Stephani Majieta’s kindergarten classes took some time off from schoolwork to visit with the Easter bunny and collect candy-filled eggs. Plastic Easter eggs were spread sporadically throughout the school playground in every area imaginable.

Younger siblings of the students were also invited out for the event and assigned a separate area for their egg hunt. This allowed them to search for their eggs without them being taken by the older students.

Fabrizi says that this is the 28th year she has coordinated the Easter Egg Hunt for the kindergartners. She likes to provide a fun and interactive environment for her students and their families.

“It’s really a family event,” she said.
