CHS bands give “Superior” performances

The Canfield High School Concert and Symphonic Bands received “Superior” ratings at the Ohio Music Education Association District 5 Large Group Adjudicated Event.

The event was held Mar. 12 at the Boardman High School Performing Arts Center.

Each band performed in front of a panel of four adjudicators who gave a rating from “I” or “Superior” to “V” or “Very Poor.” Both bands received all “Superior” ratings or a perfect score.

With the “Superior” rating, both bands will perform at the next level, the OMEA State Large Group Adjudicated Event Apr. 23.

This is the fifth straight year the Symphonic Band has made it to the state level and the second for the Concert Band.
