Four men who police said were involved in the shooting death of a Pennsylvania man earlier this year pleaded innocent Tuesday to various charges in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court.
Mark Colpetro, 29, of Willis Avenue, and Robert Clark, 27, of Canfield Road, both charged with murder, are in the county jail, each in lieu of a $100,000 bond. Both are scheduled to appear Monday before Judge Maureen A. Sweeney for a pretrial hearing.
Randy Bell, 24, of Philadelphia Avenue, is jailed in lieu of a $250,000 bond on a murder charge in the same case. He is to appear before Judge Sweeney on Tuesday. His trial is scheduled for May 3.
Emmanuel Underwood, 26, of Canton, charged with felony trafficking in drugs and not murder, also pleaded innocent. He is free on $10,000 bond and also will appear Tuesday before Judge Sweeney for a pretrial. His trial also is set for May 3.
Colpetro, Bell and Clark are charged in the shooting death of Mark Trulson of Atlantic, Pa., and wounding of two other people.
Trulson, 32, died just before 11 p.m. Feb. 19 in St. Elizabeth Health Center of a gunshot wound to the head.
Trulson, Michelle Difrischia and Charles Gerh were shot around 9:40 p.m. that night while in a pickup truck outside the South Avenue Gas Mart on the city’s South Side.
According to a coroner’s report, Trulson had been involved in an altercation on South at Williamson Avenue, which ended with the shooting at the convenience store, at 2325 South.
