“The buddha” (8 p.m., PBS): Richard Gere narrates “The Buddha.” It’s a new documentary from filmmaker David Grubin that delves into the life of the man whose ideas spawned a powerful new religion in northern India more than 2,000 years ago.
“Criminal Minds” (9 p.m., CBS): Forest Whitaker guest stars in an episode of “Criminal Minds” that has the BAU team investigating the murders of several homeless men in San Francisco. It’s an episode that could spawn a spin off series of the popular crime drama.

Summer jobs at Cedar Point
SANDUSKY
Cedar Point will have its last summer-jobs fair for positions at the park this summer from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the park’s Breakers Express Hotel, 1201 Cedar Point Drive, Sandusky. The amusement park/resort will fill more than 4,500 positions for this summer’s season.
Before attending the interviews, all applicants must complete an online application. Visit www.cedarpoint.com and click on “Jobs.”
Positions still available include food-service attendant, games associate, room attendant and rest-room and cleaning crews. Cedar Point employees also have free admission to Cedar Point, the Soak City waterpark and the park’s sandy beach.
Cedar Point will be open daily May 15 through Labor Day, Sept. 6. The park will then reopen for weekend operations through Oct. 31.
Tickets on sale for Neil Young tour
Rock icon Neil Young will hit the road for his first solo concerts on the Twisted Road tour, scheduled May 18-June 8. British folk legend Bert Jansch will open the shows.
Shows include Louisville’s Palace Theatre on May 26, Atlanta’s Fox Theatre on May 29, the Spartanburg (S.C.) Memorial Auditorium on May 30, and Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium on June 1. Tickets are on sale through Ticketmaster outlets.
The concert film, “Neil Young Trunk Show,” will be released on Blu-Ray and DVD by Reprise Records later this year.
NBC renews shows
LOS ANGELES
Three new NBC reality shows are coming back for another season. The network said Monday that it’s renewed “The Marriage Ref,” “Minute to Win It” and “Who Do You Think You Are?” for the 2010-11 season.
Two of the shows have celebrities behind them: Jerry Seinfeld is executive producer of the comedy panel series “The Marriage Ref,” while Lisa Kudrow has that role for “Who Do You Think You Are?” which looks at stars’ family trees.
“Minute to Win It,” with TV chef Guy Fieri as host, is a competition series with a top prize of $1 million.
