Easter Seals’ sixth annual Walk With Me event and fundraiser is set for April 24 in Boardman Park.
Registration begins at 9 a.m. in the park’s community center. The one-mile, three-kilometer and five-kilometer fitness walk, run, roll or stroll will unite hundreds of area participants and help raise funds for Easter Seals.
The walk begins at 9:30 a.m. and will be led by honorary ambassadors. The ambassadors are children and adults who have benefited from agency programs and services.
The walk is to help children and adults with disabilities and special needs. Activities include a Chinese auction, face painting and pony rides.

All proceeds from the walk will benefit Easter Seals of Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties.
Animal baby shower
CANFIELD
Mill Creek MetroParks will host the annual Farm Animal Baby Shower to celebrate the arrival of young farm animals from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the MetroParks Farm.
Youngsters can watch chicks hatch and visit with ducklings, piglets, calves, kids and lambs. Come and pet the new arrivals, if they’re not napping.
The MetroParks Farm is on state Route 46 across from the Canfield Fairgrounds.

Buhl cleanup day
HERMITAGE, Pa.
Buhl Farm Park will have its annual cleanup day from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
Volunteers should bring gloves and a rake. Registration will be at the pool house. Refreshments will be served.

Earth Day event

Earth Day will be celebrated at the “Great American Meatout” planned from 2 to 4:30 p.m. April 18 at Evergreen Seventh-day Adventist Church, 7668 Glenwood Ave.
The program will focus on how the consumption of animal-source foods contributes to world hunger, water depletion, land devastation, animal cruelty, human and animal disease and wildlife destruction.
The cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children 12 and younger. Reservations are due by next Wednesday; seating is limited. Call (330) 568-0600. Checks should be made payable to Evergreen SDA Church and sent to Sandy Hrabowy, 2600 Tibbetts-Wick Road, Hubbard, OH 44425. Day care will be provided.
