Three men facing theft and other charges in connection with Youngstown State University have waived their rights to speedy trials.
Ivan Maldonado, 42, of Euclid Boulevard, Boardman; Anthony J. Maldonado, 25, of Bev Road, Boardman; and Ron Granger, 45, of Shannon Road, Girard, all appeared at a pre-trial hearing Monday before Mahoning County Common Pleas Judge James C. Evans to sign the waivers. All have pleaded innocent.
The three had been scheduled for trial May 10, but that now will become a pre-trial date, with the trial to be rescheduled, a court spokesman said.
The three were indicted in March by a Mahoning County grand jury.
Ivan Maldonado is charged with 10 counts of theft, two counts each of falsification and theft in office and one count each of tampering with records and grand theft.
Grangers is charged with tampering with records, falsification, theft and theft in office.
Anthony Maldonado is charged with two counts of falsification and one count each of grand theft and tampering with records.
