Senior Morgan White had a no-hitter with eight strikeouts and three walks for the Golden Flashes (3-0). Sophomore Haley McAllister had two triples and a single, sophomore Alison Sorber had a triple and single for three RBIs and junior Taylor Petersal doubled for Champion, which has outscored three opponents 20-4. Mathews is 3-1.

LaBrae 4, Lakeview 1

LEAVITTSBURG

Freshman Jessica Buck went 4-for-4 including a double, while junior Kelsie Daniel had two hits for LaBrae (2-2). Buck also tossed a five-hitter, which included four strikeouts. Jamie Sentner had two hits, while Lexi George tripled for Lakeview (2-2).

Struthers 11, Brookfield 1

BROOKFIELD

Dana Mathews had a triple, and Mandy Ditman and Jackie Deem each had three hits and three RBIs to lead the Wildcats. Struthers pitcher Ashley Baron allowed only one hit in her four innings and struck out six batters.

Fitch 15, Ravenna 6

Ravenna

Emily Purnell went 4 for 5 with four base hits, and Alyssa Jones had a double and a single in a lopsided win for the Falcons. Brianna Banko and Kacie Donahue each added a double. Ravenna’s Katelin Fields had a home run.

Springfield 6, Crestview 1

Sophomore Madison Groner went 3 for 3 and scored twice, senior Ashley Davis went 3 for 4 with two RBIs and Erica Pitts, also a senior, had a two-run double for Springfield (2-2). Sophomore Elissa Burkey (2-1) had six strikeouts and walked three. Jen Hogue went 2 for 4 and Mallory Taylor had a run-scoring single for Crestview.

Niles 16, Yo. Christian 1

NILES

Lindsey Dodgson struck out 12 and walked one batter while pitching three-hit ball over five innings for Niles (5-0). Dodgson also knocked in four runs on two hits including a double, while Megan McDermott had three hits and two RBIs. Ashley Ganyard, Samantha Ramer and Katelyn Kurilla all had two hits, while Ganyard, Katie Hitchings and Sammy Melius had a double apiece. Ganyard’s offense also included two RBIs. Kaitlyn Vestal had two of Youngstown Christian’s three hits. The Eagles are 1-1.
