Warren police seek help in solving homicide
Warren police are asking for the public’s help in solving a homicide that occurred at about nine minutes after midnight Saturday in the parking lot outside of the Kenmore Apartments, which are on Plaza Drive behind the Warren Plaza.
Police said Scott C. Harvey, 25, of South Canton Road in Akron, and a friend, both college students from outside the area, had come to Warren for a visit, were hanging out in the apartment parking lot and got into a confrontation with another male.
Harvey was shot in the head at least one time and died later at Forum Health Trumbull Memorial Hospital.
Police interviewed residents of the apartment complex to learn what they had heard or seen, but they have not made an arrest.
Police have never had any previous contact with Harvey or his friend, an investigator said. Harvey had no criminal record in Warren Municipal Court, Trumbull County Common Pleas Court or Summit County Common Pleas Court.
Detective Wayne Mackey asks anyone with information to call him direct at 330 841-2684.
