Autopsy set on man found floating in Monongahela River


ELIZABETH, Pa. (AP) — An autopsy is set for today on the body of a man found floating in the Monongahela River south of Pittsburgh.

Investigators for the Allegheny County Medical Examiner say the body appeared to have been in the river for an extended period of time before it was found by a passer-by Sunday about 4 p.m.

Firefighters from Forward Township and Elizabeth Borough worked to recover the body.

The man's identity has not been released.
