Truckers 4 Jesus

The Truckers 4 Jesus ministry at the Petro Truck Stop, Weathersfield Township, will show Mel Gibson’s movie “The Passion of the Christ” at 10 a.m. Easter Sunday in the truck-stop theater. It is free along with refreshments.

Ecumenical pilgrimage

The Catholic Diocese of Youngstown and Northeast Ohio Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America are organizing the Lutheran-Catholic ecumenical pilgrimage, “A Journey Towards Understanding Germany and Italy,” from Oct. 11-21. The trip includes visits to Wittenberg, Wartburg, Eisleben, Erfurt, Rome and Assisi.
Bishop George V. Murry of the diocese and Bishop Elizabeth Eaton of the synod will lead this 11-day pilgrimage. Learn to meditate

The Unity Church Centre, 1226 Naylor Lloyd Road, will sponsor classes on meditation starting at noon Monday. The two- hour classes will run for five weeks, and students will have the opportunity to experience different meditative techniques.
Gloria Ross, a licensed teacher with Unity, will conduct classes. She is working on a master’s degree in spiritual studies at Antioch University. Classes are free, but donations will be accepted. For information, call Unity at (330) 539-0122. Class size will be limited.

Jameson Hospice of Lawrence County will have its Service of Remembrance at 3 p.m. April 11 at First United Methodist Church, 135 Decker Drive. The memorial service is for the families, volunteers, Friends of Hospice, caregivers and staff members.
