Assistant director chosen for college

A Cortland man has been appointed assistant campus director for the Youngstown campus National College.
Michael J. Boyle will assist the director in the campus’s day-to-day operations, and, in the absence of campus director Tim Philibin, will be the campus’s chief academic and administrative officer.
Boyle has 18 years of managerial and executive leadership experience. He previously worked as a production manager for Control Transformer in Cortland and also has worked in management for Alcoa Aluminum, Amweld Building Products, Oakes Foundry and Warren Engineering Company.
He has a bachelor’s degee in business administration from Youngstown State University and earned a Green Belt certification in Six Sigma Lean Manufacturing from Kent State University.
“As assistant campus director, Mike will be the main point of contact for all student-related inquiries and issues,” Philibin said.
The Youngstown campus, on Belmont Avenue, opened its doors in 2007 and serves 900 students. The campus offers nine associate degree and six diploma programs in the fields of business, health care and information technology.
